Newby Hall is a privately owned, diverse rural Estate situated near Ripon in North Yorkshire. The Hall is a 17th century Grade 1 listed property set within 300ac of Historic Parkland.
The Hall and award-winning formal Gardens are open to the general public
throughout the summer and attract over 100,000 visitors per annum, in addition
to hosting a variety of outdoor shows and exhibitions. Out of season, the property continues to operate as a private residence.
Domestic help is required to join a small team responsible for the care of Newby Hall.
The applicant must have the ability to manage time and work both independently and as part of a team. The role is varied and involves the handling of antique furniture and ornaments, requiring excellent attention to detail. You will also assist the Housekeeper with general daily housekeeping duties as required to include cleaning and laundry.
Minimum of 20 hours per week (mornings - 8:00 am to 12:00 noon) with flexibility, if required. Some weekend work will be required, on a rota basis.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition.
A full driving licence is required.
