Summary
We are seeking a Chef's assistant or Cook to join our vibrant team at our Bridgend cafe. Located in Abergarw Trading Estate, this role is vital in delivering exceptional food and service that reflects our commitment to quality and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals following established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are maintained at all times.
- Assist in the daily operation of the cafe, including serving customers and managing food orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining area.
- Support menu development by suggesting innovative dishes inspired by global cuisines.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Uphold company values by providing friendly, efficient service to all customers.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Passion for culinary arts and customer service.
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Overtime available if required
