We’re recruiting a Senior Commercial Accountant to join the CPM Finance department - we will even support towards your qualifications! Up to £38k DOE and excellent benefits including pension and 26 days holiday rising to 31 day
Ideal Location: Stokenchurch, United Kingdom, HP14
Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am-5.30pm
Key responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue, cost of sales, gross profit, accruals, prepayments, and relevant balance sheet reconciliations.

Analyse financial performance across clients, projects, business units, or cost centres, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key variances against budget or forecast.

Prepare client budgets in collaboration with business partners and clients, ensuring accurate assumptions and the application of inflationary adjustments and rate card increases to protect the business's profitability.

Support forecasting, and financial planning processes by providing clear commercial insight and robust financial data.

Prepare commentary for senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

Support month-end, year-end, statutory reporting, and external audit processes as required.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, controls, and commercial visibility.

Undertake ad hoc analysis, reporting, and project work to support business priorities.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA, currently studying towards full qualification desirable.

An effective communicator that can take complex financial information and present it to non-financial colleagues.

Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse data and identify actionable insights.

Experience working within a commercial accounting environment, with a solid understanding of business performance and client requirements

Demonstrates a proactive interest in keeping up to date with financial reporting requirements, regulatory changes, and developments in commercial finance.

PeopleSoft and Planning Analytics experience desirable
