About the role
We’re looking for a reliable, practical and friendly Caretaker to help keep our community hall clean, safe and ready for every occasion. This is a varied, hands-on role where your work will be noticed and valued by local groups, hirers and visitors.
What you’ll be doing
· Open, close and secure the hall for bookings and events.
· Keep rooms, kitchen, toilets and communal areas clean, tidy and welcoming.
· Set up and reset rooms, including moving furniture and equipment.
· Carry out basic outdoor upkeep and keep entrances presentable.
· Spot and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Who we’re looking for
· Dependable, trustworthy and proud of doing a job well.
· Practical, positive and confident working independently.
· Friendly and professional when dealing with hirers and visitors.
· Comfortable with active, hands-on work including moving furniture.
· Cleaning, caretaking or janitorial experience is helpful, but attitude matters most.
