About the Role
Fundacion HeartFull Salud y Bienestar is looking for a confident, organised and relationship-focused Employer Engagement Specialist to develop partnerships with employers and create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals participating in employability, skills and workforce-development programmes.
The successful candidate will build relationships with businesses across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, understand their recruitment needs and identify suitable opportunities for programme participants. You will work closely with employment advisers, training teams, programme coordinators and external organisations to strengthen employer partnerships and improve employment outcomes.
This role is suitable for someone with experience in employer engagement, recruitment, employability services, business development or workforce programmes who enjoys developing professional relationships and supporting people into sustainable employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers
- Identify new employer-partnership opportunities
- Contact businesses to introduce employment-support programmes
- Understand employer recruitment and workforce requirements
- Identify suitable vacancies for programme participants
- Develop long-term relationships with hiring managers
- Maintain regular communication with employer partners
- Arrange meetings with prospective employers
- Conduct employer needs assessments
- Promote available employability and training services
- Match employment opportunities with participant skills and experience
- Work with employment advisers to identify suitable candidates
- Coordinate introductions between employers and participants
- Support interview and recruitment arrangements
- Organise employer information sessions
- Coordinate recruitment events and employer workshops
- Support job fairs and community employment events
- Develop employer engagement plans
- Maintain an active pipeline of employer contacts
- Track employer interactions and outcomes
- Update CRM and programme-management systems
- Maintain accurate vacancy and placement records
- Monitor progress of active recruitment opportunities
- Follow up with employers after interviews
- Support placement and onboarding activities
- Maintain contact with employers following successful placements
- Identify opportunities for repeat recruitment
- Gather employer feedback on programme participants
- Support resolution of placement-related concerns
- Promote inclusive recruitment practices
- Encourage employers to consider diverse candidate groups
- Support workplace inclusion initiatives
- Discuss reasonable workplace adjustments where appropriate
- Provide employers with information about available employment support
- Coordinate with training teams regarding skills requirements
- Identify recurring employer skills gaps
- Provide labour-market feedback to programme teams
- Support development of employer-focused training initiatives
- Monitor local recruitment and employment trends
- Research growing sectors and hiring opportunities
- Develop relationships with community organisations
- Work with local employment and training partners
- Attend networking and business events
- Represent the organisation professionally at external meetings
- Prepare employer-engagement reports
- Track placement and partnership KPIs
- Analyse employer engagement performance
- Contribute to programme-performance reviews
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate information handling
- Support continuous improvement of employer-engagement processes
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree, diploma or professional qualification in Business, Human Resources, Recruitment, Careers Guidance, Social Services or a related area
- At least two years of experience in employer engagement, recruitment, employability services or business development
- Experience developing professional relationships with employers
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes
- Ability to identify and develop employment opportunities
- Experience communicating with hiring managers and business stakeholders
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Confidence presenting services to employers
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple employer relationships
- Experience maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work toward placement or engagement targets
- Good negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong customer-service approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with CRM or case-management systems
- Willingness to travel locally for employer meetings and events
- Right to work in the United Kingdom

Pay: £28,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
