The Production / Manufacturing Technician Role requires dynamic team players with a can-do attitude with demonstratable previous experience of hands-on mechanical assembly / disassembly techniques, plus basic knowledge / experience in hydraulic installation, electrical wiring, and hand fitting operations.
The role requires operating to high safety, housekeeping and quality / workmanship standards within a world-class manufacturing team and facility.
Experience required to apply for the role:

Proven practical experience of hands-on mechanical assembly / disassembly techniques and understanding, associated to medium duty engineering products.

Basic experience / knowledge of hand fitting / bench fitting techniques (Marking out, drilling, tapping / dies, - thread types, filing etc).

Basic experience / knowledge of electrical wiring and connections (able to understand basic schematics / electrical diagrams).

Basic experience / knowledge of hydraulics (hydraulic components and very basic schematics.

Able to demonstrate previous experience / knowledge of having followed standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Able to demonstrate suitable knowledge of the importance of safety, quality and housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Able to demonstrate previous experience / knowledge of having performed basic quality inspections, including the use of basic manual measuring equipment (e.g. verniers), and accurately record the results.

Able to demonstrate previous experience / knowledge of involvement in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Able to demonstrate previous experience / knowledge of training and supporting new people to an assembly task.
Working Hours & Salary:
Hours will be 08.00 - 16.30 Monday - Friday with required (mandatory) structured overtime dependent on Production output requirements.
Guaranteed hourly starting rate of £13.67 per hour (this can increase to £15.54 per hour once further product skills appraised).
Overtime: paid at a premium rate (x1.5 or x2.0 depending on hours worked)
Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £20.50 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).
Level B - Overtime paid at premium rate of £27.34 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).
Additional Weekly Bonus: Weekly calculated business performance bonus £50 to £100+ per week (guaranteed minimum of £50 per week). Paid from day one.
Further Annual Bonus: £500 per annum (for ref. only, based on recent average).
