Excell Supply is currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coaches to work in secondary schools across Prestatyn and the surrounding areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors, PE graduates, aspiring PE teachers, and individuals with a passion for inspiring young people through sport. As a Secondary School Sports Coach, you will support pupils both in and out of the classroom, using your coaching skills to encourage teamwork, resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour. You may supervise classes, assist with PE lessons, support extracurricular activities, and help maintain a positive learning environment across the school.
The Role
- Support students during PE lessons and school sporting activities.
- Supervise classes using pre-set work when required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement throughout the school day.
- Promote teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Support extracurricular sports clubs and activities where required.
- Work flexibly across a range of secondary schools in Prestatyn and the surrounding areas.
What Excell Supply is Looking For
- Experience coaching sports or working with young people.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Confidence leading groups of young people.
- A positive, energetic, and professional attitude.
- Relevant sports coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
