We are looking for a Precision Engineer / CNC Machinist who can take ownership of our high-spec machining projects. You aren't just running cycles; you are translating complex technical drawings into pristine, high-grade parts. You will bridge the gap between engineering blueprints and finished physical perfection, serving as the guardian of product quality in our machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:
- Machining & Setup: Setup, program, and operate CNC machines (Milling / Turning) to produce low-to-medium volume, high-precision components.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read, analyze, and work directly from technical engineering drawings, CAD models, and geometric tolerances.
- Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous self-inspections using micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to maintain micron-level tolerances.
- Process Optimization: Fine-tune speeds, feeds, and tooling pathways to maximize machining efficiency, tool life, and surface finish.
- Collaborative Quality: Partner with production planning and quality teams to refine setup workflows and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks before chips even fly.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Proven hands-on track record as a CNC Machinist, Precision Engineer, CNC Turner, or CNC Miller.
- Technical Mastery: Confident working knowledge of standard CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Mazak) and precision holding techniques.
- Qualifications: Completion of a recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Quality Focus: Meticulous attention to detail with an uncompromising standard for tolerances, surface finishes, and health & safety guidelines.
- Mindset: You are a practical problem-solver. You take pride in your craftsmanship and know how to balance production efficiency with total accuracy.
Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
