Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong ability to organise tasks efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Our dental practice is involved in the education and training of dentists.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and readily available.
- Aid patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, and ensuring their comfort throughout procedures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain an effective and hygienic clinical environment.
- Support trainee dentists and staff in their development and clinical practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments, managing patient enquiries, and maintaining an organised reception area.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in IT systems related to patient management and record keeping is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to providing a positive experience for all patients is essential.
