We are currently working with a children’s residential care provider who are looking to recruit a Residential Children’s Support Worker in Aylesbury to join their team.
The role involves supporting children living within a residential home environment presenting with emotional and behavioural challenges.
This is a permanent, full time role.
Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour
Contracted hours: 40 or 48 hours per week
Hours: 7:30am - 8:00pm (The rota will include weekends too)
Previous experience working with children is essential and a UK driving license.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting young people with their daily routines and activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Helping young people access education, hobbies and community activities
- Building positive and trusting relationships with the children in the home
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning
- Supporting young people with independent living skills
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent support
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns
