Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Thomas tripp. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Ensure all work surfaces are sanitised and kept hygienic according to health and safety standards
- Support with organising stock and supplies, including storing ingredients appropriately
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist with setting up dining areas for service as required
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience working in hotels or hospitality settings can be beneficial
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary practices is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
