The Clubhouse is a newly opened independent sports bar and restaurant on Morrison Street, and we’re looking for a reliable Kitchen Supervisor to become the deputy to our current kitchen lead.
This isn’t a fine-dining kitchen or a traditional chef-brigade role. We operate a focused sports-bar menu using a plancha, combi ovens, fryers and microwaves. The food is straightforward, but it needs to be produced quickly, consistently and to a high standard - particularly during busy match days and events.
You’ll initially work alongside our kitchen lead to learn the menu, systems and standards. Once trained, you’ll be trusted to run kitchen shifts independently and will provide holiday cover during October.
The role
- Preparing and serving our full food menu
- Running kitchen service independently when required
- Following recipe, portion and presentation guides
- Managing daily preparation and kitchen opening and closing
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleaning standards
- Completing temperature checks and food-safety records
- Monitoring stock levels, deliveries, rotation and wastage
- Helping keep the kitchen organised during busy match-day service
- Supporting and supervising kitchen assistants as the team grows
About you
You don’t need a fine-dining background or a formal chef title. You may currently be working as a cook, kitchen supervisor, experienced kitchen assistant, café cook or chef looking for a more straightforward operation.
You should have:
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
- The confidence to run a service without constant supervision
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safe food handling
- The ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods
- A reliable, practical and hands-on approach
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
A food-hygiene qualification is preferred, although training can be provided for the right person.
