Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to utilise driving skills within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Duties
- Safely operate company vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly for transit.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any queries professionally.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipts.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as organising stock and preparing parcels for dispatch.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Engage in heavy lifting when required, handling goods of varying sizes and weights safely.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Proven track record in safe driving practices within a professional setting.
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type, including a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of cut flowers and plants is advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
