Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing drainage systems on a on call reactive maintenance basis, primarily blockages etc. This role requires a practical skills with hand and power tools, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants must be capable of assessing causes and resolving the issues independently and possess a valid driving licence. All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Duties
- Attend domestic and Commerical properties and unblock drains and carry out planned repairs from time to time
- Install new drainage infrastructure, ensuring proper connection and functionality.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing drainage networks to prevent blockages or failures.
- Use cctv and jetting equipment , hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills to assemble components and structures.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to drainage system connections and modifications.
- Carry out inspections to identify faults or potential issues within drainage systems.
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair processes.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment to various sites as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues on site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
Experience
- Proven experience in drainage engineering or related civil engineering disciplines is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of drainage systems and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment is required.
- Experience in operating heavy machinery or commercial vehicles is advantageous.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and technical drawings are necessary.
- Prior exposure to working with industrial or construction sites will be considered an asset.

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
