Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Alloy Wheel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining alloy wheels to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Duties
- Repair and refurbish alloy wheels, including powder coating
- Inspect wheels for damage or defects and determine appropriate repair methods
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs accurately and efficiently
- Prepare wheels for refurbishment by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Operate specialised equipment safely following health and safety protocols
- Assist with the maintenance of workshop tools and machinery
- Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive or wheel repair industries
- Tyre removal knowledge
- Skilled in operating power tools including grinders, drills, and sanders
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling wheels or equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision workmanship
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to workshop environments
