We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress and Barista to join our vibrant café team. Responsibilities
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks
- Serve food items with professionalism and attentiveness
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including counters and tables
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling sandwiches or snacks
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations
- Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent service quality
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills in food preparation and beverage crafting
Pay: £12.21-£16.86 per hour
