Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Qualified SIA Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to various situations. This role involves monitoring the environment through in person 24 hour patrol.
Preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff, customers and property.
The position is fully paid and offers an opportunity to work in a unique temporary environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing customer behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing appropriate action or escalation as necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts
- Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional manner
- Assist with first aid emergencies when required, providing support until medical professionals arrive
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services in case of serious incidents
Experience
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar role within a security environment
- Familiarity with loss prevention methods and procedures
- Basic first aid certification is highly desirable
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Valid SIA licence is essential for this position
