Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Early Morning Cleaner to join our team at The Gibraltar Rock pub in Tynemouth. This role involves performing cleaning duties in commercial premises during early hours to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Duties
- Conduct thorough cleaning of all front of house areas including bar, restaurant, corridors and bathrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, switches, and fixtures to promote hygiene.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly after use.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently.
- Reliable with good organisation skills and punctuality.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting light equipment or supplies.
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts before standard business hours.
