Role: Assistant Compliance Officer
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hrs
Work Days: Monday – Friday
Based: Head Office with Days working onsite across JRP Services
Salary: £26,500-£28,500pa

Jigsaw Recovery Project support some of the most disadvantaged young people in society. Many of the young people that we work with are nearing the end of their journey through the care system and have experienced multiple failed placements. Our aim is to recognise the complexity of need that people can have and to develop bespoke support packages that focus on making positive progress whilst still celebrating individuality. By ensuring that the needs, wishes and feelings of those that we work with are the cornerstone of the support we deliver. The Role
This critical role is vital to JRPs vision, values and ethos. As Assistant Compliance Officer you will work to ensure consistently high standards of support are delivered to everyone we support.
In this varied role you will work under the guidance of the Compliance Officer and Director of Residential Services, across our supported accommodation services for Adults. You will be based mainly at Head Office (Team Valley), travelling to sites in Consett and Gateshead, completing both Quality Assurance and Compliance audits of the Main Projects and Dispersed Properties.
Your time at Head Office will be spent supporting Office Management, ensuring that Organisational Compliance is in place and tackling any office tasks in relation to this
Main Responsibilities of the Role
· Provide Support to SLT and Mentorship to the Service Manager and Staff Teams
· Ensure the services are run in a Compliant manner
· To Proactively engage with all JRP Adult services and departments to ensure SLAs, Health and Safety and good practice and quality of support
· Take the lead and support with all regulatory inspections, ensuring actions are met prior to and following inspections
· Support the strategic development of the services.
· To Take Part in the Senior on Call Rota
· The Assistant Compliance Officer will ensure the continuity of the service.
· The Assistant Compliance Officer is required to be highly motivated and lead the managers ensuring the values and ethos of the organisation are recognised, ensuring a positive working culture.
· You will liaise daily with the Compliance Officer & Service Managers to provide oversight and assist with any queries whilst ensuring a high level of performance and productivity
· Liaising with other teams and business areas including Income, Lettings, Case Management, Property Services
· Assisting with assessing potential risks including repairs and H&S concerns
· Developing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with residents and stakeholders which will include external contractors, MPs and councillors, supporting the Director of Residential Services with information to enable an effective response to their inquiries
· To Complete Compliance Audits of all JRP Adult Services to ensure Compliance and Good Practice.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
♦ Experience of working with vulnerable adults in a regulated service
♦ Experience of managing, motivating, and supporting teams.
♦ Proven ability to analyse problems, identify and implement solutions.
♦ Good interpersonal and communication skills.
♦ Good Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
♦ A Good working knowledge of Microsoft software
♦ competent report writing skills.
♦ Full UK clean driving license and have a use of a car for business.
♦ Motivated and enthusiastic approach to working with a team of staff, to ensure positive outcomes for young people and adults
♦ Good Working Knowledge of Regulated Adult Services
Desirable
♦ Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar role
♦ Improving standards and successfully implementing service improvements.
♦ Training, mentoring and coaching staff.
♦ An understanding of Local Authorities duties in relation to Looked after Children.
♦ Experience in care planning and compliance.
♦ IOSH Managing Safety at Work or a willingness to undertake training

The requirements of the role will require on call duties, long and unsociable working hours to meet the needs of the People we Support.
