Chef – City Centre Location (Part-Time, 2 Days per Week)Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef to join our friendly city centre team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with previous kitchen experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality food.
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking our menu, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of fresh dishes, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during service.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety in line with current regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and report any ordering requirements.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and new ideas.
- Ensure all food is prepared to company standards.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to provide excellent customer service.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.
- Strong cooking skills with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- A positive attitude and passion for producing great food.
Working Hours & Benefits
- 2 days per week (approximately 14–16 hours).
- One weekday (to be agreed) and every Saturday.
- Saturday hours: 9:00am – 2:00pm.
- Weekday hours: Approximately 8:30am – 4:30pm.
- Closed every Sunday.
