We need a Maintenance Handyperson responsible for the general maintenance of the hotel.
About The Role
Job Title: Maintenance Handyperson
Responsible to: General Manager / Directors
Main Purpose: Responsible for general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and routine inspections.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs throughout the hotel.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments.

Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and general building systems.

Perform basic carpentry, painting, decorating, and other general repairs.

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities for maintenance issues.

Identify faults and report major problems requiring specialist attention.

Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.

Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to hotel schedules.

Follow health and safety procedures and hotel maintenance policies.

Assist with emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance issues.

Keep accurate records of maintenance work completed.

Work closely with housekeeping, reception, and management to minimise disruption to guests.
Skills & Requirements:

Previous maintenance or handyman experience is desirable.

Good practical and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, and building systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and customer-service skills.

Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise urgent tasks.

Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies when required.

Commitment to health, safety, and maintaining high hotel standards.
