Stevensons is the largest independent school uniform and sportswear provider in the UK serving over 650 schools nationwide. Selling quality school uniforms, sportswear and sports equipment through our various supply channels be it high street shops, on-line, on-campus shops, pop-up shops or direct to school.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse logistics team at our Production Centre. You will be responsible for handling goods in a warehouse setting, ensuring accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of stock. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and delivering excellent service to our customers.
Primary responsibilities:
· Receive, unload, and process incoming stock and materials.
· Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery or pickup.
· Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
· Operate warehouse equipment (pallet pump trucks).
· Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and safely stacked.
· Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
· Follow all company policies and health and safety guidelines.
· Assist with stock takes and cycle counts.
· Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and performance targets.
A successful applicant should have:
· Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred (but not essential).
· Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and receipting processes.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills.
· Ability to lift, move and count physical inventory when needed.
· High level of confidence using IT, including Office, stock management software and a warehouse management system (full training provided on internal systems).
· Applicants should be comfortable working at height and able to lift/manoeuvre boxes and pallets that can be heavy safely.
· Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
