Job Overview
We are growing construction and are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a ever expanding organisation, working with various accounting software and systems.
The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic to learn, self-motivated, and have strong communication skills. Whilst accounts payable/ office administration experience is preferred it is not essential due to the robust in house training provided.
Duties
- Daily record of purchase invoices and credit notes
- Reconciliation of invoices to purchase orders
- Reconciliation of delivery notes to invoices
- Produce and issue remittances
- Assistance with weekly payment runs
- Reconciliation of supplier account statements
- Reconciliation of CIS statements
- Dealing with invoices queries / disputes
- Verification and insurance checks of supply chain
- Credit account applications
- General administration assistance to the accounts department
- General administration assistance to the office including answering incoming calls, greeting visitors and postal duties
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
- Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Previous experience within financial services or related sectors is beneficial but not essential
The role is for a full time position based in our Kings Hill head office. Working Hours are 7:30 to 5pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30-12:30 Friday . Benefits include 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, Private Healthcare, Death in Service and Group Pension scheme. Salary is dependant on experience.
