Egham Park is a small independent alternative provision catering for just 45 pupils between the ages 11-18 year olds.
Summary
As a Full Time SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering education to pupils with special educational needs. This role requires a strong foundation in teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. You will collaborate closely with educational staff and parents to develop tailored learning timetables that address individual pupil needs. Responsibilities
- To deliver and support learning to a very small group of children using structured interventions as directed by the Headteacher .
- To develop an understanding of the special educational needs of the students on the SEN register.
- To take into account students’ special educational and health needs and ensure their access to lessons through appropriate clarification, explanations equipment and materials.
- To monitor student progress and to develop interventions that support student learning.
- To attend in service training and meetings relevant to the post in order to keep up to date with developments in working with children with special educational needs.
- Provide support and facilitate interaction with peers in the classroom and around school.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
- Support students in using basic ICT.
- Prepare and maintain equipment/resources to enable students to learn effectively.
- Assist with the supervision of students out of lessons, i.e. before and after school, during movement breaks and at break times.
- Accompany staff and students on visits, trips and out of school activities as required.
We welcome applicants with Teaching Qualifications but also welcome Practitioners with relevant experience from similar roles.
