Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Labourer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assisting with various production tasks within a busy factory environment. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting as part of a team. Prior experience in warehouse or upholstery work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The normal working week is Monday - Thursday 6am - 4.15pm with two paid 15minute breaks (1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) and an unpaid 30 minute lunch break.
Duties
- Cushion filling and bagging of finished goods
- Loading and unloading materials and goods within the factory
- Supporting the movement of items around the factory floor
- Operating basic machinery and equipment as instructed
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Following health and safety guidelines at all times during operations
- Assisting with inventory management and stock organisation when required
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse or factory environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Experience with assembly processes or working in a manufacturing setting is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
