Beecrown Logistics is looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Traffic Controller / Account Manager to join our operations team on a self-employed basis.
This is a varied role that combines transport planning with customer account management. You’ll be responsible for coordinating drivers, managing daily transport operations, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and allocating work to drivers and subcontractors.
- Monitoring vehicle movements and keeping customers informed throughout the day.
- Responding quickly to delays, changes and operational issues.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, acting as a key point of contact for allocated accounts.
- Managing customer expectations and delivering excellent service.
- Working closely with drivers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
- Liaising with customers, drivers and internal colleagues to resolve any issues.
- Helping to maximise vehicle utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of transport operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing occasional out-of-hours support when required.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident and enjoys working in a busy logistics environment.
Ideally you’ll have:
- Previous experience in transport, logistics or courier operations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- The ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
- Experience using Courier Exchange (CX).
- Experience using Monday.com.
- Experience working with owner-drivers and subcontractors (preferred).
- Previous account management or customer relationship management experience would be advantageous.
