Job Summary
The role involves the installation, maintenance, inspection and testing of electrical door installations and equipment. The role will include panel building, onsite panel modification, electrical installation works, responding to breakdowns and testing and commissioning activities
Candidates will require a proven background in installation, inspection, testing and fault finding on industrial control systems.
We work across the UK and occasionally abroad meaning the successful candidate will be expected to work away from home as required.
As your career progresses with us, it is expected that you will also be involved the design of electrical control panels and system drawings.
Experience/requirements for this role:
· Time served qualified Electrician with experience in an industrial background (17th edition acceptable, 18th Edition IEE training and certification preferable).
- Capable and willing to turn your hand to Mechanical Work as required.
- A team player, comfortable being the primary electrician on site.
- Able to work autonomously to diagnose and repair faults with and without drawings.
- Able to read and follow electrical drawings.
- CSCS/CCSNG card.
- Full driving license.
- Basic IT skills
Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements.
- Installing containment, running mains cabling and control circuits.
- Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.
- Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
- Fault finding and diagnosis.
- Providing professional assessments and advice for customers.
- Managing or working with subcontractors.
- Training apprentices and/or co-workers.
- Ensuring all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience of servicing and repairing industrial and specialist doors.
- ECS card or equivalent.
- IPAF and PASMA qualifications.

The candidates must also live within a commutable distance of the depot as there is no dedicated vehicle with this position.
This position is a national role, which means the individual could be working away from home Monday to Friday, dependant on the site location with the possibility of working/travelling over the odd weekend.
Pay: £42,500.00-£44,500.00 per year
