About Us:
Motor 4 U Ltd is a fast-growing used car dealership with a large stock of vehicles on site. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service, smooth operations, and a well-organised site that supports our sales, workshop, body shop, and valeting teams. We are now looking for a proactive and reliable Yard Operative to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the site to a high standard, keeping it clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Move, park, and organise vehicles around the site to ensure smooth workflow between sales, workshop, body shop, and valeting teams.
- Manage customer parking and ensure visitors have clear and safe access to vehicles.
- Support the workshop, body shop, and valeting teams by positioning cars in the correct areas.
- Assist with general site organisation and ensure vehicles are displayed to a high standard.
- Perform basic checks when moving vehicles (fuel, cleanliness, tyre pressures etc.).
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures on site.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential) – with confidence driving manual and automatic cars.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to help across different departments.
