Role: Junior Sous Chef
Salary: £35,000 p/a + tip share
Location: Chilton Foliat, Wiltshire. (Accommodation available)

Whats the role?
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
- Assist in leading the kitchen team during busy service periods and take responsibility for sections of the kitchen.
- Support the planning and delivery of seasonal menus, daily specials and new dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards before leaving the pass.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and food preparation in line with business requirements.
- Help manage stock rotation, ordering, portion control and waste management.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Support the training, coaching and development of Commis Chefs and junior kitchen team members.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Contribute to a positive, professional and supportive kitchen culture.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about food and eager to build a successful career within the hospitality industry.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef within a quality gastro pub, fresh food restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong experience working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and producing high-quality dishes.
- Good understanding of cooking methods, kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management and health & safety requirements.
- Experience supporting and developing junior team members.
- Ability to maintain high standards whilst working efficiently during busy service periods.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and kitchen operations.
