Stairlift Engineer Humberside & Yorkshire

Leodis Stairlifts Limited is looking for an experienced Stairlift or Electrical Engineer to join our growing team, covering customers across Humberside and Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their career within a specialist and rewarding industry. We would also welcome applications from engineers with a strong electrical and mechanical background who have the right attitude and aptitude and are keen to train and develop their skills within the stairlift industry.

The Role
As a Stairlift Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of stairlifts in customers’ homes and residential settings.
You will work across the Humberside and Yorkshire areas and will be provided with a fully equipped company vehicle to enable you to carry out your role effectively.
Following a comprehensive period of training and once you are fully competent in the role, you will join our 24-hour emergency breakdown on-call rota, typically one week in four or five. In return, you will receive a competitive on-call payment in addition to your basic salary.
We pride ourselves on providing our engineers with sensible and sustainable working hours. Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, although some flexibility is required depending on customer requirements and the on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a range of stairlift models, including both straight and curved stairlifts.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to stairlift equipment.
- Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs as required.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work is completed to a consistently high standard and in accordance with relevant safety requirements.
- Provide a professional, friendly and reassuring service to customers in their homes.
- Complete job cards, service reports and other relevant documentation using our app-based software.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment to a high standard.
- Represent Leodis Stairlifts professionally at all times.
About You
We are looking for an engineer who is technically capable, customer-focused and takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.
Ideally, you will have:
- An NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience within the stairlift industry.
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Experience fault-finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
- A professional and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- A positive “can-do” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customers.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
We will also consider engineers from other electrical or mechanical backgrounds who can demonstrate strong technical ability, practical aptitude and a genuine desire to learn. Full industry training and development will be provided to the right candidate.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Some flexibility will be required, including participation in the 24/7, 365 days a year on-call rota once fully trained.
