Good Day Cafe and Bakery is an award winning, busy, and dynamic city centre brunch spot! We like to make good food and have a good time, and need someone ready to get stuck into a new challenge.
We are looking for a part time Kitchen Porter/Prep Chef to join our small but mighty kitchen team!
Good Day Cafe runs a busy brunch service seven days a week with a focus on good food, good cake, and good times.
The Role:
- Assisting our team of Chefs in keeping the kitchen clean and tidy during and after service.
- Washing dishes and completing deep cleans.
- Prepping brunch stock such as Pancake and French Toast mixes.
- Assisting in any supporting aspect of service that may be required.
The hours:
- Part Time: 15-22.5 hours (over 2-3 Days, on an 8am-3:30pm shift) main working days will be Fridays and Saturdays.
- Regular shifts, daytime only, no splits, no nights. Usually 2 weeks notice of shifts.
- Weekend availability is a requirement.
- More hours may be available during peak seasons and to assist with Annual Leave Cover.
The Pay:
- This is an hourly position with a starting wage of £12.75 per hour.
- All team members get a fair share or tips and service charge, totalling to an additional £1.50-£2.50 per hour depending on the season.

- Kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
