Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Property Repairs Estimator / Co-ordinator to join our team. This role involves assessing repair requirements, coordinating with clients and technicians, and ensuring accurate cost estimation and control. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in cost control to deliver efficient and effective property repair solutions. Expertise in providing the right solution to reported issues and pricing works accurately with regards to materials and time is essential, whilst having the ability to offer suitable alternative measures to meet given budgets.
Duties
- Analyse repair requirements by inspecting damaged equipment or property and determining necessary repairs.
- Prepare detailed estimates of repair costs, including labour, materials, and additional expenses.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and provide clear explanations of repair options and costs.
- Liaise with technicians, suppliers and administration staff to schedule repairs, procure materials, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines, implementing cost control measures where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, work orders, and communications within organisational systems.
- Assist in the development of pricing strategies to remain competitive whilst maintaining profitability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all phases of the repair process.
- A solid understanding of best practice within the building / property industry across a wide spectrum of property maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the plumbing, electrical, or general maintenance sectors.
- A qualification in one of the above trade is also preferable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, labour requirements, and industry standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Previous experience with use of our booking and pricing software (Simpro) would be preferred but not essential.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal engineers.
- Knowledge of cost control principles to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
You will play a key role in the continued growth of our company, working closely alongside the Director in the office and becoming an integral part of the team.
Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
