Job title:- Transport/Fleet Manager

Hours of work:- Full time, 09:00 – 17:30 (with one hour lunch break)
The Role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fleet Manager at Primal Cars UK Ltd located in Rainham with occasional travel to our other site in Barking.
Role Description
Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency, compliance, and overall management of a fleet of private
hire vehicles. Ensuring all vehicles meet regulatory standards, optimising fleet performance, managing drivers,
and maintaining cost efficiency. Implementing strategic initiatives to improve service delivery, customer
satisfaction, and business growth.
Responsibilities
Fleet Operations Management
- Overseeing the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are maintained, roadworthy, and
compliant with PCO licensing requirements.
- Implementing and monitoring telematics, GPS tracking, and fleet management software to
optimise vehicle usage.
- Scheduling regular servicing, maintenance, and MOTs to minimise downtime.
Regulatory Compliance & Licensing
- Ensuring all vehicles meet TfL (Transport for London) and DVLA licensing and safety
requirements.
- Staying updated with changes in private hire regulations and implement necessary compliance
measures.
- Managing documentation for insurance, road tax, and licensing renewals.
Driver Management & Recruitment
- Monitoring vehicle performance, ensuring customer adherence to company policies and service
quality standards.
- Handling customer queries and complaints effectively.
Cost & Financial Management
- Under the direction of the Fleet Operations Manager, develop and manage fleet budgets,
reducing operational costs without compromising quality.
- Monitor fuel consumption and implement cost-saving measures.
Customer Service & Crisis Management
- Responding to incidents such as vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and driver shortages, ensuring
swift resolution.
- Maintaining high levels of customer service

Qualifications
- DOT Regulations and Fleet Operations skills
- Analytical Skills
- Fleet Management and Operations Management skills
- Experience in managing a fleet of vehicles
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field is preferred

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
