We are seeking an experienced and motivated SVQ Manager / Assessor and Internal Verifier to join our Learning & Development team.
You will manage and deliver both commercial and funded SVQ’s in-line with the requirements and standards of awarding bodies.
You will guide candidates from induction through to award, assess their knowledge and practice, and ensure all assessment decisions meet Qualifications Scotland standards.
You will help maintain our excellent reputation with Qualifications Scotland, SDS, and Education Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality vocational training and practical learning.
· Adapt learning to meet individual needs and support achievement.
· Prepare learning materials, presentations, and assessment resources.
· Assess, record, and report on learner progress and outcomes.
· Promote positive work behaviours, employability skills, and independence.
· Maintain accurate learner records and training documentation.
· Gather and review learner feedback to support continuous improvement.
· Maintain high standards of health and safety.
· Work collaboratively to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
· Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of training programmes.
About You
· Experience delivering vocational training, practical skills, or learning programmes.
· Relevant qualifications in your vocational area (Construction).
· Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
· Experience preparing training materials and assessing learner progress.
· Strong administration and record-keeping skills.
· Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Full driving licence.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development.
· Professional, adaptable, and flexible approach to work.
