We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our expanding team and business as we develop new menus, dining experiences and our new workspaces. The business is also expanding a new venture at a different site, so the role has potential for career development opportunities.
We are an award-winning & totally unique Estate that offers high level, rosette standard food for both private events and weddings, in addition to our own social events where we pride ourselves on providing the very best experiences.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchens in the absence of the Head Chef; meeting the high standards required for food hygiene and food safety, presentation, and quality.
The quality of food and professionalism of the team is essential, and you will have a key role in supporting the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.

Requirements:
- Due to our location a full driving license is recommended.
- Flexibility with working hours, essential that you are available weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
- At least 2 years Senior CDP/ Sous Chef or similar level of experience in events and hospitality is desirable.
The Role includes:
- Working with the Head chef and supporting them in their role and overseeing the operation of the kitchens in their absence.
- To ensure that all areas under your control satisfy the most stringent hygiene requirements.
- To ensure that all stocks are ordered to the correct quantities, quality and purchase specifications and stored correctly.
- To cook consistently and enthusiastically on a high level, to the Bartle Hall Standard.
- Cooking and preparing for each service and function.
- To enthusiastically give input where required into menu and product development.
- To supervise junior chefs and other members of the kitchen staff

Full time, permanent role. 45 hours per week. Rota based shifts, Weekend and some evening work will be required. **Christmas Day & Boxing Day off**
