Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, cost control, and effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
- Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform project planning.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and budgets.
- Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors.
- Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions related to projects.
- Provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and methodologies in the construction industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools for cost estimation and management.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.
