Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of clients by delivering personalised care in a professional and respectful manner. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence and dignity
- Implementing individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with medication management as per care plans
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
