Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to join our team! You will work alongside our existing admin team for 2 days per week (exact days to be decided, but will likely require one day at the beginning of the week and one towards the end), helping out with various admin tasks in our busy office.
Tasks
- Manage a variety of email inboxes (shared with other admin staff), ensuring all customer queries are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner
- Input bookings to our system, based on booking emails received
- Liaise with local school enquiries, helping to organise all aspects of their activity days and residentials.
- Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, dealing with any questions that arise
- Maintain organized files and records through accurate data entry and document management
- Handle general clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, mailing, and ordering office supplies
- Collaborate with team members to streamline office procedures and improve overall efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior office experience demonstrating excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritise tasks and strong work ethic
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (particularly Word & Excel)
- Excellent phone and email etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing, scheduling, and record management

Further Information
Whilst the current hours for this role are 10 hours per week, there may be scope in the future for this to increase so candidates that are able to take this on in future will be favourably considered.
Salary will be in line with National Minimum Wage, according to age.
All applicants will be required to join The Scout Association, carry out mandatory (online) training modules, and get a DBS check (organised and funded by us) through The Scout Association.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
