Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
- Assess each dog’s health and behavior to ensure safe handling throughout the grooming process
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming station with proper sanitation of tools and work area
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions
- Handle dogs with patience and care, ensuring a positive experience for both pet and owner
- Assist with animal care tasks such as feeding or light handling as needed to support overall pet well-being
- Lift heavy dogs safely using proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure comfort during grooming procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary practices or veterinary experience is highly desirable to recognize health issues early
- Passion for animal care with excellent understanding of canine behavior and handling skills
- Exceptional customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy dogs safely and comfortably using proper lifting techniques
- Strong attention to detail, hygiene standards, and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £25,420.00-£28,320.00 per year
