About this role
- You will be based on one of our outdoor breeding units in the NR25 area and will be involved in the breeding and rearing of pigs
- On a day to day basis this includes feeding, sow and piglet management, moving, serving and monitoring the health of pigs
- You will also maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit & will work with farm machinery
Job requirements
Experience is highly valued, but not essential. Your commitment, work ethic and good character are essential!
- To give priority to animal welfare
- To be self-motivated
- Our breeding units consist of teams of 4 to 5 people so you will need to work as part of a team
- Experience with livestock or an agricultural background is an advantage but not an essential requirement
- To have your own transport to reach a rural farm location
- Though our typical working hours are 7.00am-4.00pm Monday - Thursday and 7.00am-3.00pm on Friday, flexibility is required with these times for certain days on farm.
Pay and benefits
- Salary: Highly competitive salary based on experience level.
- We operate a 39 hour week Monday to Friday with alternate weekend work on every third weekend

- Training as appropriate
