Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify necessary repairs accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles in peak condition.
- Repair or replace faulty components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical wiring using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct assembly of vehicle parts during repairs or upgrades, ensuring all components are installed correctly and safely.
- Utilize welding techniques for structural repairs or modifications when required.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each vehicle.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on various vehicle types; familiarity with schematics is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices for effective repairs.
- Strong understanding of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail during inspections and repairs.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members
- Prior experience with equipment repair, welding techniques, or automotive diagnostics is a plus.
- A valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is preferred but not mandatory.
