JVS specialises in topographical, hydrographic, and building surveys for a diverse variety of clients, including those in the civil engineering, architectural, construction, water, leisure and geotechnical engineering industries, where modern technology is used to meet the high tolerances and short timetables required.
The surveying services provided by JVS extends from feasibility stage through to construction, to as-built surveys of the completed project.
Utilising high specification Trimble survey equipment both traditional, laser scanning and GNSS surveys are undertaken quickly and accurately to the clients specification, with information being available in digital format.
Job description
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Land Surveyor to apply for an exciting role within our long established company, working for a wide variety of clients throughout several sectors. The role primarily involves carrying out Topographical Surveys and Building Surveys across the UK. This role would ideally suit a school leaver with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Mathematics and English Language who wishes to progress with a land surveying career. The successful candidate will use all survey instrumentation such as a total station, GNSS, and 3D laser scanner. AIC's n4ce processing and modelling software will be used to prepare final survey drawings and outputs. The desired candidate will express a keen willingness to learn the company's complete procedures and processes from fieldwork to delivery of the survey. The candidate will be required to work with multiple survey teams on larger projects, therefore, good communication skills are highly important.
The candidate will be expected to commit to obtaining a Full UK driving licence as soon as practicable.
