Domiciliary Care Worker
As a Domiciliary Care Worker with E2E Homecare, you will provide high-quality care and support to people living in their own homes, helping them to remain safe, independent and comfortable within their local communities.
This is a community-based role, meaning you will travel between different clients’ homes throughout your shift. Every client has individual needs, routines and preferences, so no two days are the same. You must be comfortable working independently, adapting to different home environments and building positive relationships with a variety of clients.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care, including assistance with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while maintaining each client’s dignity and privacy.
- Supporting clients with mobility, transfers and the safe use of mobility equipment, following moving and handling procedures.
- Preparing meals and drinks, assisting with eating and encouraging adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Administering or assisting with medication in accordance with individual care plans and company policies.
- Providing companionship, emotional support and meaningful conversation to reduce social isolation and promote wellbeing.
- Supporting clients with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, changing bedding and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Assisting with shopping, collecting prescriptions and accompanying clients to appointments or community activities where required.
- Accurately recording care provided using electronic care systems and reporting any changes in a client’s health, wellbeing or home environment.
- Working closely with families, healthcare professionals and the office team to ensure clients receive safe, person-centred care.
- Following all company policies, safeguarding procedures, infection prevention and control measures, and health and safety requirements.
What You Should Expect
This role involves entering different clients’ homes throughout the day and delivering care that is tailored to each individual’s needs. Some clients may require minimal support and companionship, while others may need full personal care, medication support, moving and handling assistance or specialist care.
You will often work independently and must be confident making appropriate decisions while knowing when to seek guidance from the office or senior staff. Professionalism, reliability, compassion and respect for clients’ homes, privacy and dignity are essential at all times.
Due to the community-based nature of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
