We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join our operational team based at our GP Logistics Newport office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated individual looking to develop a career within the logistics and freight forwarding industry. Previous experience in logistics or transport is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will become involved in the exciting world of international trade, coordinating the movement of goods across the UK and internationally while ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem solving and an interest in developing a long-term career within a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
Attention to detail, strong communication skills and good computer skills are essential.
Following initial training, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments, liaising with customers, transport providers and suppliers, monitoring the progress of consignments, preparing operational documentation and ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
You will work as part of a professional and supportive operations team, where no two days are the same and the ability to prioritise and adapt is key.
This is primarily an office-based role, working within a busy logistics environment where customer service, accuracy and effective communication are essential to delivering successful transport solutions.
