Speech and Language Therapist – Self-Employed- 4 Days per week term time only
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a self-employed basis. The role involves working in a primary and secondary school in Thamesmead supporting students with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
This position focuses on delivering targeted 1:1 interventions, with opportunities to facilitate small group sessions where appropriate.
The successful candidate will work closely with a designated lead within the school and will be responsible for managing their own caseload, maintaining accurate clinical notes, and producing written reports. They will also contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and support wider intervention planning as required.
We work closely with SEND and pastoral teams to provide integrated, holistic support that aligns with EHCP outcomes, intervention plans, and safeguarding frameworks.
This may include:
- Blended provision (e.g. Speech and Language Therapy alongside mentoring or other services)
- Staff consultation and guidance
- Attendance and reintegration support
- Participation in review meetings and impact reporting
Our role is to help schools build a consistent, supportive network around each young person.
Essential Requirement:
Applicants must hold a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification and be registered with the relevant professional body (e.g. HCPC).
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or willingness to apply
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Experience contributing to EHCPs and multidisciplinary planning

Pay: £220.00 per day
