Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the highest quality standards across the Warehouse and Production, including Goods In/Out, ensuring all processes comply with company procedures.
- Plan and coordinate production and warehouse procedures to optimise resources, schedules and delivery times.
- Drive and monitor operational KPIs to meet business revenue targets.
- Schedule manufacturing staff daily to ensure work orders raised are distributed and prioritised based on either stock requirement or customer orders.
- Effectively manage your teams to deliver on agreed schedules for both internal activities and customer orders.
- Ensure the clear identification and monitoring of order status, enabling a prompt response to information requests regarding order status and estimated times.
- Ensure all customer documentation, labelling and branding are represented to the highest standard and always follow company procedures.
- Generate and control work orders using the company’s MRP system to maintain consistent and sufficient stock levels, following the work order and MRP procedures.
- Take full responsibility for stock-level accuracy, reorder levels, non-moving stock and the monitoring of fast/slow-moving items, working closely with the Stock Controller.
- Schedule, supervise and take part in the quarterly stock counts and year-end stocktake, where accuracy and efficiency are essential.
- Follow internal procedures and processes with attention to detail to ensure quality compliance with third-party requirements and with local and international legislation.
- Work with the compliance and quality functions to keep all relevant documentation up to date and to support internal and external audits, providing evidence as required for internal investigations and quality assurance.
- Maintain systems that promote the provision of our services and products with limited environmental impact and follow and adhere to our recycling and environmental schemes.
- Lead, support and mentor the team of production operatives and stores employees to develop high levels of motivation.
- Provide support to the CNC, Laser Marking, Production and Stores teams, working with the Manufacturing Technical Manager to improve equipment and production processes so all departments work cohesively towards operational goals.
- Identify and implement improvements across all warehouse and production departments to increase productivity, reduce errors and enhance workflow, driving efficiency gains, cost savings and better resource utilisation.
- Generate and analyse key performance indicators across all departments, providing actionable insights to support improvement and decision-making.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance with current legal requirements and internal processes.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required
- Numerate and literate
- Knowledge of the ISO 9001 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard
- Ability to read work instructions and procedures and to understand technical drawings.
- Proven experience in a Warehouse or Production Management role, or a similar position.
- Previous experience in management.
- Experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Experience in stock analysis and report writing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems.
- Working knowledge of relevant IT systems.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Comfortable with regular movement around the site, including the use of manual handling.
- A full UK/EU driving licence.
