Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Housekeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation across various areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial services is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces according to established standards
- Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure all areas are tidy and presentable
- Dispose of waste materials responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues or shortages promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with additional duties as required to support the overall cleanliness of the premises
Skills
- Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is preferred
- Experience in janitorial or cleaning services is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
