Are you passionate about helping to make a difference, creating positive life changing opportunities for individuals? We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team as a Job Coach on a Fixed Term Contract until July 2027.
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for a caseload of participants, providing support, guidance, mentoring and the active sourcing of employment opportunities to ensure the attainment of sustainable employment is achieved in a timely manner.
Duties
- Manage own caseload and engage with participant(s) to determine training needs and work goals
- Plan and secure employment opportunities for participants
- Plan and set SMART targets to ensure active participant progress
- Address barriers to engagement, developing creative approaches
- Deliver/support training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support and motivate participants to enhance their skills and employment opportunities
- Provide or signpost focused support for learners with varied learning needs & requirements
- Manage online dairy to provide effective use of time with participant
- Use IT systems effectively to match participants to employment opportunities.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a quality experience for the participant.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience of working with unemployed adults and passionate about making a difference
- Proven experience in recruitment activity
- Prior experience in supporting people with UK Welfare Benefits
- Proactive approach to securing job opportunities for participants
- Proactive, engaging and approachable style of communication
- Ability to work towards set targets
- An understanding of barriers to employment and how to motivate change
- Fully IT competent as will be using a CRM to monitor and update participant progress
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with applied IT skills
- Car owner/driver is essential.
The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
We have offices in Merthyr, Llantrisant and Porth. The successful candidate will be allocated a base and should they be required to travel to any other office a travel reimbursement at 45p per mile will be applied.
