We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Manager to lead our team, support our care staff, and ensure the continued delivery of outstanding care services across our operating areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of domiciliary care services.
- Lead, support, and supervise care staff to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Manage and coordinate staff rotas to ensure effective service delivery and appropriate staffing levels.
- Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention of care staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and care standards.
- Monitor care quality through audits, spot checks, and service reviews.
- Liaise with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities.
- Manage incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and risk assessments appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support business development and growth while maintaining exceptional care standards.
- Ensure the service operates efficiently and meets all regulatory requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Previous management experience within domiciliary care, home care, or a similar health and social care setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and rota-planning abilities.
- Sound knowledge of care regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience managing domiciliary care services.
- Knowledge of Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) requirements.
