Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Support Worker to join our team at PalCare. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Duties
- Assist with the implementation of care plans under the supervision of registered nurses or healthcare professionals
- Provide 24-hour live-in care in clients homes
- Support clients with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and nutrition
- Monitor and record vital signs and health indicators accurately
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for client records and progress notes
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the care environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to clients during their recovery or ongoing treatment
Requirements
- Previous experience or background in nursing or healthcare support is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong understanding and experience of domiciliary care
- Able to work autonomously
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in client care and well-being
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs as required
- Strong understanding of Parkingson's disease and management
- Strong understanding of 5* customer service
